"Angeni"
[Aun-ju-nee] native american origin ; meaning spirit angel
Dream catchers have always been a thing of beauty to me. They were originally crafted to protect younglings from bad thoughts or nightmares; and every piece of it has its purpose. The webbing was designed to catch both the bad or good dreams that flew through the nightly air. And while the bad dreams remained caught in the web, the good dreams would flow gently down through the feathers and into the dreamer. When it came to the purpose of the beads, each tribe had their own beliefs but most saw them as symbols of good dreams that weren’t able to pass through and so they became immortalized in the form of a sacred charm.
I truly admire this piece of Native American culture and I hope that its beauty and story will be forever remembered and appreciated!
